Russia and Belarus Resumed Talks On Gas Supplies 11:33, 24/02/2004
Russian vice prime minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin and Finiabe Minister of Belarus Mikalai Korbut are expected to have talks on state credit for paying for gas supplies on Tuesday, the Department of State Information reported to RIA Novosti.
“In the conversation by phone Korbut said to Kudrin that the Belarusian side had prepared a project of agreement about an intergovernmental credit for these aims,” said Kudrin’s press secretary Gennadiy Ezhov to journalists last week.
“From his side, Kudrin underlined that the Russian side is ready to start these negotiations, however the terms of the credit are to be market ones, and its volume is to be bind to the agreement on gas supplies between Belarus and Gazprom,” said Ezhov.
