Court Ruled to Recover 15 millions from “Narodnaya Volya” 12:53, 01/03/2004
On March 1 Lenin District court of Minsk ruled to recover 15 million rubles (more than $6, 800) as an indemnity for moral damage to Syarhei Atroschankaw from the editorial office of the “Narodnaya Volya”. Besides, Judge Vera Tupik obliged the editorial office to publish refutation of the article “Which business in Belarus thrives?” within two weeks after the ruling, to recover 165 thousand rubles of sue charges, and 700 thousand rubles for lawyer of the plaintiff. The “Narodnaya Volya” is going to appeal a decision in Minsk city court, the BAJ press service informs.
