Hrodna Executive Committee Refused to Register Ratusha Fund :: Charter'97 :: News

Hrodna city executive committee refused to register the Regional Development Fund “Ratusha”. This fund was created by activists of the liquidated civil association of the same name. The main reason of the refusal – faults found in the registration documents submitted.

As the former head of Ratusha, Ales’ Milinkievich, told BelaPAN, after the Supreme Court found the liquidation of the association legal last year, its activists decided to organize a foundation of the regional development with the same name. The documents for registration were submitted to the city executive committee. After two months, legal experts of the executive committee refused to register the new Ratusha.

According to Ales’ Milinkievich, they asserted that some of the documents are not in order, that they contain violations of the Article 118 of the Civil Code, but rejected to specify which mistakes are in the documents.
