NEWS  UN Commission To Consider Resolution On Belarus 12:06, 09/04/2004 Today the UN Commission on Human Rights to vote on projects of resolution on situation in Turkmenistan and Belarus. The projects were proposed by a group of European countries and the USA last week. The resolution on Turkmenistan causes serious concern by arbitrary arrests and indictment of citizens, pressure on independent mass media and opposition, discrimination of minorities. The project of resolution on Belarus foresees denunciation of government of the country for violations during elections, for disappearances of journalists and political opponents of the authorities.
