Marynich’s Arrest Prevented Him From Meeting With “United Russia” Leadership 13:20, 14/05/2004
More and more facts are showing that by arresting Mikhail Marynich, the Belarusian authorities isolated one of the leaders of the so-called “New Belarusian opposition” in the cell of pre-trial detention center. One of the organizers of the informational bureau of the Vladimir Putin’s party “United Russia”, Aleksandr Buzhak, has made an unexpected statement in Brest. “Marynich is one of the promising and sound politicians of Belarus, told Aleksandr Buzhak. His candidature is positively looked at in Russian political circles, and in Duma in particular. I can say even more, the meeting between Mikhail Marynich and the leadership of the “United Russia” party had been prepared. Preliminary agreement has been reached. The meeting was scheduled for the end of May. However it is hardly real now, the meeting has been actually foiled”.
