(Itar-Tass) - Belarus and Russia remain the closest and reliable allies, Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Russia-Belarus Union on Friday. 
Valery Levaneuski’s Wife and Children Refused to Testify 12:55, 25/06/2004

On June 24 wife and children of Valery Levaneuski were summoned to prosecutor’s office of Lenin district of Hrodna. They were to give evidence as witnesses in the criminal case of public defamation of president Lukashenka. Valery Levaneuski, leader of the strike committee of entrepreneurs and member of the European Coalition “Free Belarus”, who is placed to pre-trial detention center of Hrodna, and Alyaksandar Vasilyeu, are defendants in this case. 
Justice Ministry Set to Liquidate Belarusian Party of Labour 12:23, 25/06/2004

Belarusian Justice Ministry brought a suit to the Supreme Court about the Belarusian Party of Labor liquidation, informed Justice Ministry press service. It is said in the claim that the leadership of the Party of Labour has violated laws relating place governing bodies of the party and its branches in Vitsebsk, Hrodna and other regions of the country. Besides, the Belarusian Party of Labour is imputed with providing invalid data to the Ministry of Justice, ignoring the requirements of the registering body and other gross violations of the law, the BelTA informs. 
Three Oppositionists Detained In Navapolatsk 12:21, 25/06/2004

On June 24 three activists of coalition “Five Plus” were detained in Navapolatsk during handing out leaflets against the third presidential term of Alyaksandar Lukashenka: chair of the Navapolatsk branch of the human rights center “Viasna”, the Belarusian Popular Front Member Dzmitry Salauyou, member of the Belarusian Students’ Union Ina Barysevich, and the Belarusian Popular Front member Alyaksey Trubkin.
