Police Confiscated Klimau’s Books
11:36, 23/08/2004

The celebration organized by Andrey Klimau (Klimov), former businessman and deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the 12th calling, in Minsk on August 21 in the restaurant “Zhuravinka” ended in detention and confiscation of books. The former MP invited his friends and supporters to announce the idea of his participation in the presidential elections in 2006, and to present his new book, called “Walks with a Vampire”.

Late in the evening, policemen stopped the car with Andrey Klimau and his wife Tatsyana. Policemen seized the documents of the car owner Leanid Malakhau, and confiscated about two hundreds of books “Walks With a Vampire” and “Obvious Truths” from the luggage boot of the car. According to A. Klimau, the police hinted that he should not hope that the books would be returned.
