NEWS  Activist in Gomel region fined $265 for acting on behalf of Five Plus 11:56, 01/09/2004 A judge of the Zhlobin District Court on Tuesday imposed a fine of 30 times the Base Rate ($265) on Vladimir Katsora, deputy chairman of the Gomel regional branch of the United Civic Party (UCP), for acting on behalf of an unregistered organization. The activist’s car was pulled over by road police en route from Minsk to Gomel. The officers seized 14,000 copies of promoting the unregistered Five Plus opposition coalition and 1,070 copies of the newspaper Vremya from Mr. Katsora.
