NEWS  French Journalists Arrested In Minsk 17:56, 05/11/2004 Representatives of the Russian office of French TV Channel TF 1 were arrested in Minskon Friday evening. The unit of the TV channel tried to film the action of the youth resistance movement Zubr, however they were detained by policemen. Not far from the Myasnikow Square in Minsk the journalists were observing how Zubrs were hanging out a large banner “Lukashenka Has Lost” at the railway bridge. It reminded about the real results of the referendum on October 17. Two persons in plainclothes approached them, seized their documents and made the cameraman stop the shooting. According to preliminary information, employees of the French TV crew can be taken to the police department of Moscow district of Minsk.
