Administrative commission of the Pershamajski district of Minsk warned the well-known human righst activists, member of the European coalition “Free Belarus” Valery Schukin. Last month he was detained three times for handing out leaflets with a call to say “No” at the referendum on October 17.
Mr. Schukin was summoned for the commission for dissemination of leaflets composed and printed for his own money. The chairman of the Pershamajski district executive committee Zhanna Matskevich, the head of the Administrative commission, at once prohibited journalists to be resent at the session. The closed session took lasted for about an hour and a half. Finally, after studying three police protocols, and long debate, members of the commission found Mr. Schukin guilty and issued an official warning to him.
He does not agree to this punishment. He is going to challenge the decision of the Administrative Commission in the court of the region, Radio Svaboda informs.
