First-ever contest to encourage assiduous ideological workers to be held in Minsk 11:20, 05/01/2005
The ideology departments of the Minsk City Executive Committee and the city`s district administrations plant to hold the first-ever city contest among Minsk`s organizations and enterprises to reward the best organizers ideological work.
The purpose of the contest to encourage enterprises to improve the organization of ideological work, help them share experience in the area and raise public awareness about the importance of state ideology, an official with the Minsk city government’s ideology department told BelaPAN.
Prizes, which are to become annual, will be given to nine enterprises and organizations, each representing a particular sector, according to the source.
Special commissions will be set up with the Minsk district administrations to make a shortlist of candidates for the prize. The winners will be selected by officials with the Minsk City Executive Committee and the Belarusian National Youth Union and announced in June.
