NEWS  Kofi Annan calls for fighting hartred ideologies 14:16, 26/01/2005, ARMINFO News, photo by Reuters During the Monday special session of the UN General, Assembly on the 60th anniversary of the liberation of first concentration camp prisoners Kofi Annan called for fighting any hatred ideologies in the name of the memory of the Nazism victims and for the sake of preventing the recurrence of similar tragedies in the future. In his resolution Annan notes that 10 post-Soviet republics - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine have proclaimed May 8-9 as days of memory and reconciliation to be marked simultaneously with their national days of victory or libration. Annan reminds that millions of Jews, Gypsies, Russians, Poles and other nationalities were killed in Nazi camps. "We should not allow this tragedy to recur.
