Belarusian, Polish foreign ministries agree to drop invitation requirement for multiple-entry visa applicants 12:06, 23/02/2005
The Belarusian and Polish foreign ministries agreed to issue multiple-entry visas to the two countries’ citizens without invitations.
The matter was under discussion at last week’s round of consultations between Belarusian and Polish delegations in Bialystok.
At the same time, the delegations noted the need for applicants to produce documents confirming the purpose of their trip for obtaining multiple-entry business visas, the Belarusian foreign ministry’s press office told BelaPAN.
The Belarusian delegation to the talks, led by Vasily Zhlutko, chief of the ministry`s Consular Department, also included Belarusian Ambassador Pavel Latushko, other diplomats and representatives of the border control service and police.
The delegations discussed the implementation of the Belarusian-Polish mutual travel agreement and exchanged views on prospects for the development of cooperation in the consular, border control and law enforcement spheres.
The officials agreed to take steps to remove flaws in bilateral consular relations, according to the press office.
