NEWS  Ukrainian border guards seize five vehicles from Belarusian enterprise over alleged border violation 11:04, 13/04/2005 Ukrainian border guards have seized five vehicles from a Belarusian company, prompting harsh reaction from the latter. Ukrainian border patrol officers last week detained three MTZ tractors, a loader and a UAZ minibus belonging to the Lelchitsy-based company carrying out land reclamation operations, saying that the vehicles had illegally crossed the border into Ukraine, Oleg Dyomov, deputy head of the state-run Belarusian company, told BelaPAN. The Gomel Regional Executive Committee has contacted the Ukrainian authorities over the matter but the talks so far have produced no results, according to the manager. The Belarusian enterprise maintains that the vehicles never crossed the border.
