Another Rock Concert Banned
18:03, 21/04/2005, photo by ByMedia.net

A concert of the Belarusian rock-band “Krama” in the notorious club “Reaktor” was tabooed. After a preliminary agreement, the organizers of the concert were not allowed to it. Without explaining the reasons the culture department of Minsk executive committee has not issued a concert licence for organizers of the concert. The head of the culture department Uladzimer Khamyankou said that his department had not got any requests: “We do not have any documents concerning this event in our papers”.

The director of the group Pavel Kashyrin says that a very strange thing has happened, as he had agreed upon the concert organizing with the managers of the club. But it had not helped: “Seemingly we have obtained approval of the club, and the advertisements in the metro were put already,” Pavel Kashyrin says with disappointment.

The musicians of the Krama are now in the same mood as participants of the Neuro Dubel band two weeks before. Ihar Varashkevich is kidding, but with regret: “Maybe we could have changed the name for “Dr. Varash Chronicles”? The variant of the concert under another name had been considered as well. There was an idea to return the earlier name of the band: Roxis, but the management of the club had not agreed to that”. “And I understand them perfectly, they do not want to take risk in such conditions,” P. Kashyrin said.
