Deputy director general of Baranovichi Cotton Mill facing criminal charge 13:46, 05/05/2005
The City Prosecutor`s Office in Baranovichi, Brest region, on May 2 instituted criminal proceedings against a 58-year-old deputy director general of the Baranovichi Cotton Mill and the head of a Minsk-based limited liability company.
Their prosecution resulted from an investigation by the economic crime prevention office of the Brest regional police department, a source with the department told BelaPAN.
In particular, the investigation reportedly established that in October and November 2001, the suspects, abusing their positions, sign a fictitious supply contract, which led to the misappropriation of products estimated at 41.5 million rubels ($19,400).
The suspects face charges of larceny through the abuse of office under Part 2 of the Criminal Code`s Article 210.
