BSU Journalism School still in conflict 15:40, 09/06/2005
Students ask the BSU rector and the Minister of Education “to examine” the Journalism School dean: June 8, the students of the correspondence department of the BSU Journalism School Alena Andreeva and Hanna Kavaliova passed to the rector of this educational establishment Vasil Strazhau and the Minister of Education Aliaxandar Radz’kou their complaint on the activity of the Journalism School dean Siargey Dubovik.
A week ago the dean did not let the students take a credit basing on the fact that they “were not morally ready” to take this credit. The students are sure that is the way to take a revenge upon them for organizing a campaign of signatures collection for reinstating their colleague-student and “Narodnaya Volia” journalist Volga Klaskouskaya.
In the written request addressed to the BSU rector Vasil Strazhau and the Minister of Education Aliaxandar Radz’kou, the students write “the actions of the dean Siargey Dubovik “are incompetent, violate the students’ rights and may deprive the youth of a possibility to obtain higher education”. Both students who have signed the request deem that their civil activity should not cause discrimination from the School Administration side.
