Yulia Tsimashenka: Belarus can adopt Ukraine’s method 11:31, 15/06/2005
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tsimashenka deems in case of need the Ukrainian method of revolution can be adopted by other countries, including Belarus. Tsimashenka said this after her speech at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Western-European Union in Paris, as “Ukrainian Truth” repots.
“Our colleagues from the Belarusian opposition contemplated the events evolving at Maidan, took a vigorous part and our experience is perfect for them. It can be studied and, if necessary, put into practice in some regions,” - she added.
Tsimashenka considers that Russia still has not resigned to Viktar Yuschanka’s victory at the election. “But Ukraine wants and seeks partnership relations with Russia, we regard Russia as a strategic partner,” - she stressed.
At the same time Tsimashenka said that the SES project “should be inundated with contents of the free trade zone with no exceptions and restrictions, which does not contradict our course towards the EU.” “The EU is the project of our future and the engine for our reforms,” - she added and pointed that at the moment Ukraine is developing its relations with the EU within the Action Plan. “The Action Plan must eventually result in concluding a new reinforced agreement, whose best form will be a European agreement on association,” - Tsimashenka added.
Moreover, according to Yulia Tsimashenka, “in the nearest future we plan to launch experts investigations in the field of creating the free trade zone.”
