Polatsk local lore expert was warned 16:17, 22/06/2005
The Administrative Commission of the Polatsk Executive Committee warned June 21 head of the historical club “Vytoki” Mikhas’ Bautovich for spreading printing production without output.
The bulletin “Polatski Kray” (“Polatsk Land”), of which the civil activist had 11 copies at the moment of the recent interregional conference of the Democratic Forces held in the outskirts of Vitsiebsk, was called the edition “without output”. Colonel of the militia Siargey Ivanou asked M. Bautovich to turn the pages of the edition and managed to find something seditious in it. Thus, the OMON officers brought the guest from Polatsk to the Piershamaiski Department of the Ministry of Interior. Minutes were drawn up on M. Bautovich for the violation of part 3 of article 172 of the Administrative Code.
At the hearing of the case M. Bautovich denied his spreading printed materials. From the civil activist’s point of view, the militia performed a pure provocation.
