NEWS  Mass protest against avenues’ renaming planned for July 3 11:46, 23/06/2005 On July 3, on the Day of Minsk liberation from German invaders, represesntatives of opposition are planning to carry out a large-scale campaign against renaming of the central streets of the city, told the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka on June 22 to the BelaPAN after the meeting of the Permanent council of pro-democracy forces. As we have informed, on May 7 Alyaksandr Lukashenka by his decree renamed Skaryna and Masherau Avenues as Independece and Victor’s Avenues. On July 3 opposition activists are to hand out informational materials at the renamed avenues.
