Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerned by Belarusian powers’ policy 17:07, 24/06/2005
The Polish Government still contemplates with great concern the steps made by the Belarusian powers regarding the Union of Poles in Belarus, pointing at some signs of “optimism”, as Polish Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Jakub Volski said during the sitting of the Commission on Foreign Relations with Poles of the Polish Seim, radio “Polonia” reports.
According to Volski, the Polish powers are concerned by the publication of fraud ““Glos znad Niemna” - UPB body. This action might have been organized by former head of the Union of Poles Tadeusz Kruczkouski, protégé of the Belarusian powers. Another fact that worries the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the refusal of the Grodna powers for the UPB to hold a feast of the Kupalle. “At the same time we observe the actions of the Belarusian powers that - let us hope - will be the first steps of normalizing the relationship,” - remarked the Vice Minister.
