Oppositional Communists’ Leader Was in Car Accident 13:17, 27/06/2005
Yesterday evening leader of Communist Party of Belarusian Communists Syarhei Kalyakin had a car accident. A politician was returning home from a summer cottage on a road “Minsk-Brest” with his wife, son and mother. His car “GAZ-3110” crashed into “Opel Omega” worked by a drunk driver.
Syarhei Kalyakin has received a trauma of the chest, his mother’s arm is broken, and other passengers are intact.
Traffic policemen, who arrived to the scene of the accident, established that the drunk driver of “Opel Omega” was the culprit of the accident.
The leader of the Belarusian Communist Party does not think that the accident has any connection to politics.
