Lukashenka Continues War With Foreign Grant Donors :: Charter'97 :: News

Alyaksandr Lukashenka stated that recently the country has managed to decrease the intensity of activities of foreign grant donors, who have been carrying out ideological expansion in Belarus under a mask of humanitarian aid, organized going abroad of our experts and scientists, and in fact stealing intellectual property of our country,” Lukashenka said at the meeting with talented youth of the country on Monday.

As said by the head of the state, the idea of creation of president’s foundations for social support of gifted pupils, students and talented young people has appeared in a difficult time. In the middle of the 1990-ies, he said, “serious scientific research or creative work were becoming less and less prestigious, and the best graduates of universities were trying to find work abroad”.

As said by Lukashenka, “a lot depends on today’s meeting, including the future fate of the special president’s foundations, whether they are needed or not”. “Your experience, thoughts and ideas are necessary to make the state support of gifted youth more expedient and targeted”.
