On June 30 and July 1, Gleb Pavlovskij and Modest Kolerov will hold a conference in Moscow dedicated to the CIS development, and development of Russia in particular. Mr.Kolerov is the Head of the Department on CIS in Putin’s administration. The list of invited persons looks curious – the organizers have invited Mr.Sheiman and Mr. Voitovich, Mr.Gajdukevich and Mr.Kolos, Mr.Grigorjev and Mr.Kozulin, as well as some others.

UCP press-room asked Anatolij Lebedko to comment the purposes of the conference and the list of its possible participants.

”UCP has been against Lukashenko’s monopoly over Belarus-Russia relations. Current event is a positive fact. One year before presidential elections, Kremlin went public with what before has been discussed only inside. This can be considered as one more factor of influence over Lukashenko. But we must not forget that Kremlin is ready to talk with different people. In any case, this conference will not be a pleasant thing for Lukashenko.”
