Security Service of Ukraine does not confirm information that the former head of criminal intelligence service of Internal Affairs Ministry, General Alexei Pukach, which is searched internationally as implicated in the case of journalist Gongadze assassination, has been found in Israel. Deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine, the head of group on Heorgiy Gongadze case, Andrei Kozhemiakin, told about it to journalists, proUA informs with reference to “Ukrainski Novyny”. He said that the SSU continues search for Pukach. As said by Kozhemiakin, SSU had information that Pukach could be hiding in Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Germany, the USA, or in Israel. The information about all versions is being verified.
The forth “pirate” issue of the “Glosu znad Niemna”, issued without sanction of the Union of Poles of Belarus, has been printed. It is stated there that Viktar Kruczkouski, living in Vaukavysk region, is acting editor-in-chief of the newspaper, Radio Svaboda informs. Viktar Kruczkouski is brother of the former head of the Union of Poles in Belarus Tadeusz Kruczkouki, recognized by the authorities as the head of the Union as before. Earlier the name of the editor-in-chief was absent in the newspaper, and it has been written only about an “editorial office”.

A citizen of Babrujsk Lubou Sankevich finished her protest action sanctioned by Minsk authorities, that she had been carrying out in Bangalore Square for 20 days. The aim of her picket was a protest against embezzlement of state property and a demand to reinstate her in her job at Babrujsk plant of tractor spare parts and equipment. June 29 was the final day of the second session of the Chamber of Representatives of National Assembly of Belarus. For members of parliament, this session was fruitful - they adopted 44 law drafts in the first reading, 29 draft laws in the second reading, they ratified 16 international agreements and discussed seven temporary presidential decrees. At the very end of the session the representatives decided on the two resonant documents - in the second reading, they adopted the new version of law "On public associations", and changes and amendments into the law "On political parties".
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe admitted that the OSCE`s work on monitoring elections needs improvement. At its annual session, held in Washington for the first time, it adopted an appropriate resolution, offered by Russia and actively backed by the US. On Monday, July 4, the Ukrainian national gas company Naftogaz Ukraine sent an official warning telegram to Russia`s natural gas monopoly Gazprom. Naftogaz threatened the Russian monopoly by stating it may halt deliveries of Russian gas to Gazprom`s European customers.
