Only one commercial firm of the country has received a license from Internal Affairs Ministry which authorizes it to carry out foreign employment assistance for Belarusian citizens. Interfax was informed about it Internal Affairs Ministry of Belarus.
As said by the interlocutors of the agency, according to the new rules stipulated by the decree of Alyaksandr Lukashenka on the measures against people trafficking, “all 30 firms, that have received licenses for these activities, were to get new licenses before July 1, and only one firm got licence for job placement abroad for Belarusian citizens, and one more firm sent its documents to get the licence”.
Explaining the situation with licensing of this type of activities, the Internal Affairs Ministry told that “the main requirement for receiving a licence for foreign employment of Belarusian citizens is a contract of the Belarusian firm, concluded immediately with foreign employers. Intermediaries are to be excluded now”.
The ministry also underlined that “since almost all firms that have been involved in this business are not granted licences, the number of citizens going abroad for work is to drop radically soon”.
