Days of Iranian Culture officially opened in Minsk Monday night. "The fact they`ve been organized here testifies to progressively developing relations between the two countries, Abdolhamid Fekri, the Iranian ambassador to Belarus said.
"Mutually beneficial Cooperation between Iran and Belarus has reached a very high level, as we`ve shaped up a solid basis of agreements in the political sphere, trade and culture,” Fekri said. He voiced the hope the Days of Iranian Culture in Belarus would help the two peoples to develop a better understanding of each other, to find common elements in the vision of the world, and to build up cultural relations.
During the next seven days, Belarussians will have an opportunity to see various trends in Iranian art shown at an exhibit of folk crafts.
It displays incrustation, embossing, ceramics, wood engraving, gold embroidery, pictures, carpets, and goldsmithery.
The Minsk Palace of Arts will also host a display of miniatures by the famous Iranian artist Alireza Agamiri.
As part of the cultural week, presentations of books about Iran’s natural and historical sites will be held. Iranian musicians will perform at the Slavic Bazaar festival underway in the northeast city of Vitebsk now.
