NEWS  Sergej Sidorskij can retire before presidential elections 11:44, 06/09/2005 The Head of Presidential Administration Victor Sheiman is preparing proposals on the person of the next Prime Minister. As we got to know from UCP Press-Room private sources, Sergej Sidorskij and Vice Prime Minister Mr.Semashko are facing possible charges on receiving 6 000 000 USD for the export of fertilizers via their companies. Most probably, the problem does not concern money – the problem has been in Sidorskij’s intention (expressed in a circle of friends) to stand as an alternative candidate at presidential elections. And at some party he promised the position of Prime Minister to Mr.Semashko. On the one hand, it is difficult to imagine that before presidential elections Lukashenko would publicly fire the Prime Minister. The electorate would start wondering why Lukashenko allowed financial cheating in his circles.
