Lukashenka Allowed Giving Premises for Democratic Forces’ Congress 17:11, 08/09/2005
Today at the working meeting Alyaksandr Lukashenka and the chairman of Minsk Executive Committee Mikhail Paulau discussed a political issue of holding a Congress of Democratic Forces in Minsk, the press-service of the head of state informed.
“Though a place for this meeting doesn`t lie within jurisdiction of the Minsk executive committee and is outside our scope, I reported to president that we are ready to propose several variants for accommodating this meeting,” Minsk Mayor said.
Paulau noted that among these variants are first of all houses of culture, belonging to the Tractor Plant, Automobile Plant; Palaces of Culture of the Railway Company and of state enterprises “Sukno” and “Kamvol”.
“There are many locations in the city where the event could be held at a high level now. We are ready to render help in everything we can,” Paulau underlined.
As said by him, the head of the state had supported this position of Minsk Executive Committee, AFN informs.
