Ex-chairman of Belarusian KGB employed in Moscow 14:46, 09/09/2005
Ex-chairman of Belarusian KGB Leanid Yerin now works as assistant of head of Russian railways Vladimir Yakunin. According to Radio Liberty the information was confirmed in Russian railways.
Officially Leanid Yerin was fired from position of KGB chairman on November 18, 2004. Analysts connect his dismissal with his behavior. On October 18,2004 after falsification results of referendum and Parliament elections Leanid Yerin met with members of opposition who came to KGB building and invited several representatives of opposition to KGB building for conversation.
It is important that some Moscow analysts speak of Yakunin as of one of possible successors of Vladimir Putin on President elections in 2008.
