NEWS  One more Protestant church liquidated in Belarus 11:47, 21/09/2005 Minsk city court liquidated Belarusian Evangelist church. Earlier court liquidated Protestant Calvinist church lead by priest Leanid Lipen. Another Protestant church “New Life” headed by priest Viachaslau Hancharenka is under threat of liquidation. The proceeding of liquidation was initiated by Minsk executive committee. Religious community of Evangelists was registered in 1994. It faced problems in year 2002. The church was registered in flat of priest Sabila. And Minsk executive committee demanded from believers to find another legal address. But the church does not have money to rent an office. Judge Alla Krapiuka carried out the first hearing in July and gave the believers time to find compromise with authorities. But the authorities refused to assist in finding new office and the church was liquidated. Believers said that they won’t stop church services in spite of court decision.
