The wife of the disappeared cameraman Dzmitry Zavadski, the leader of the civil initiative “We Remember”, member of the “Free Belarus” Svyatlana Zavadskaya welcomes the decision of the European Council to prolong sanctions against the administration of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, Viktar Sheiman, Interior Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Navumau, SWAT commander Dzmitry Paulichenka, and the former Minister of Internal Affaisr Yury Sivakou, who are suspected of involvement in disappearances of oppositional politicians Viktar Hanchar and Yury Zakharanka, businessman and public figure Anatol Krasouski and journalist Dzmitry Zavadski.
“The cases of the disappeared won’t be investigated until Lukashenka’s regime exists in Belarus, until these people have power,” Svyatlana Zavadskaya said to Radio Svaboda.
As we have informed, this year on July 3, Svyatlana Zavadskaya was hit on the face by an officer of Minsk riot police during the protest rally on the day of Dzmitry Zavadski’s abduction five years ago.
