The leader of e All-National Strike Committee, member of the “Free Belarus” Valery Levaneuski, who serves the two-year sentence in the colony in Ivatsevichy, allegedly for libel against Lukashenka, has sacrificed his two-month salary to Bytsenskaya and Yurgalinskaya orphan’s houses, situated in the neighbourhood of the colony. The press center of the Charter’97 was told about that by the son of the political prisoner, Uladzimir Levaneuski.
Valery Levaneuski works as a cleaner in a medical unit of the colony, and has a tiny salary. In July his salary was 6,756 Br (USD 3.1), and in August – 7,845 Br (USD 3.6).
?These are certainly little sums, but it’s all my salary” the political prisoner writes.
Valery Levaneuski also informed that books from all over Belarus continue to arrive to the library, which he advocated so long. He also plans to make a computer classroom and a room for prayers, as believers do not have a place for that in the colony.
Chairman of National strike committee of entrepreneurs, member of Council of civil initiatives “Free Belarus” Valery Levaneusky and depute of Chairman of National strike committee of entrepreneurs Aliaksandr Vasilieu were sentenced by Leninsky district court of Hrodna to two years of imprisonment. The court found them guilty in public insult to president of Belarus connected with accusation of another grave crime (article 368.2 of Criminal code). The sentence says that phrase “Go and say that you are against someone going on skiing to Austria and living in grand stile on your money” published in leaflet contains insult of Aliaksandr Lukashenka. lllll
