The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Union of Youth Mikhail Arda (Orda) calls upon the young people of Belarus not to yield to the growing informational influence from abroad.
“Today 6 foreign radio stations all day round persistently broadcast for the territory of Belarus. They misinform, disorient and confuse our youth. We should help young people to discriminate between truth and lies,” Mikhail Arda said at the congress of the BRUY on Friday in Minsk. A. Lukashenka taken part in the congress as well.
As said by M.Arda, today a huge flow of information aimed at “undermining moral and spiritual ideals of the society” is focused at Belarus. In this connection M. Arda noted that the priorities in the work of the BRUY are to become “ideological and patriotic upbringing of the young people, shaping of an active citizenship, growth of its social activism”.
The head of the public association believes that the BRUY “is not just reviving, but continuing the best traditions of Komsomol (Young Communist League)”, Interfax reports.
