Te chairman of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka was served with a notice to appear in court of the town of Baranavichy. It is said in the paper: “Citizen A.V.Lyabedzka is summoned as a person that is to take part in the proceedings”. Deputy Chairman of the UCP, Lawyer Syarhei Alfer explained that this wording is illiterate. He is summoned, but in what capacity?
While regional assembly for nomination of delegates for the Democratic Forces Congress was held in Baranavichy, its participants were detained by police. Party leaders Syarhei Kalyakin and Anatol Lyabedzka went to a police department to find out what was going on. That is why the press service of the UCP suppose that the UCP leader could be brought to account himself for violation of the Article 167 of the Administrative Code, participation in unsanctioned meeting.
Taking in consideration that a few weeks ago the court of Brest region found Anatol Lyabedzka guilty of organizing a meeting for nomination of delegates for the Congress in the settlement of Damachova, he could be imprisoned for up to 15 days for further violation.
