NEWS  Lebanese man caught offering $3,000 bribe to Minsk Regional Customhouse officer 16:45, 26/09/2005 Minsk, 23 September. A Lebanese citizen was caught in the act of offering a $3,000 bribe to an officer with the Minsk Regional Customhouse on September 20. The man had his shipment held up by the Customhouse for an additional examination. He wanted the officer with the Customhouse`s law enforcement unit to arrange for the release of the vehicle carrying the shipment, according to the press office of Belarus` State Customs Control Committee.
