China to cooperate with Belarus on govt supervision :: Charter'97 :: News

A senior Chinese party leader said here Monday China is ready to further strengthen the close exchanges and cooperation with Belarus on government supervision, and further promote the relations between the two nations.

Wu Guanzheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said this in a meeting with Anatoly Tozik, president of the State Control Commission of Belarus.

Wu, also secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC Central Committee, said China should learn from the measures and experiences that Belarus has taken on government supervision.

He said the relations of all-round friendly cooperation is growing in a stable manner, since the two forged diplomatic ties 13 years ago, and both sides have maintained good cooperation on supervision.

China values its relations with Belarus, Wu said, adding China will work with Belarus to push forward bilateral relations in a long-term and steady way.

Tozik said the supervision organs of the two nations have set up a stable yet friendly relationship of cooperation, and it is ofgreat importance for both sides to keep friendly exchanges and learn from each other`s experiences.

He noted Wu`s ongoing visit would serve to boost the existing friendly ties of cooperation to grow in an in-depth and stable way between the supervision bodies of the two nations.

The two leaders briefed each other on the supervision work of their respective countries.

Wu flied into Belarus Sunday, the last leg of his four-nation good-will visit to Europe, which has taken him to Malta, Sweden and Finland, before flying back to Beijing on Sept. 28.
