Heads of EU diplomatic missions to tour Mogilyov region 16:15, 01/11/2005
The heads of the diplomatic missions of European Union member states in Belarus are expected to be on a visit to the Mogilyov region on November 2 and 3. The delegation will reportedly include the ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and the United Kingdom.
On Wednesday, the ambassadors are expected to have a meeting with officials of the Mogilyov regional government, to go on an excursion along downtown Mogilyov`s pedestrian Leninskaya Street, visit the editorial office of the regional government`s newspaper Mogilyovskaya Pravda, and to make a tour of Shklov and the village of Aleksandriya in the Shklov district where Belarusian leader Aleksandr Lukashenko was born.
On Thursday, the delegation is to stay in Gorki, where it is expected to visit the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, the Soviet-Polish Combat Commonwealth Museum, a cemetery of Polish soldiers, and some World War II memorials.
