The UN has expressed concern over the human rights situation in Iran. Thus, recently the UN Committee on humanitarian, social and cultural issues approved a resolution where the concern over the human rights situation in this country in expressed directly. Among the countries that voted against it are Cuba, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, the AP iforms.
The resolution was introduced for the UN Committee consideration by Canada representatives. The document containes demands to the official Teheran to stop such violations of human rights as intimidation of lawyers and execution of the condemned younger than 18 years old.
