“Chamber’s” Leaders against Activities of Opposition
11:46, 09/12/2005

“The leaders who purposefully work for the good of their people, mustn’t let any revolutions - either orange, either jeans ones – happen,” told the chairman of the Chamber of representatives of the “national assembly” of Belarus Uladizmir Kanaplyou at the meeting with Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus Gaziz Aldamzharov on December 8.

The necessity to increase punishments for actions against public security is long overdue. The journalists were said so by the chairman of the “council of republic” of the “national assembly’s” Standing Committee on international affairs and national security Mikalay Charhinets, who commented on the passed bill, increasing responsibility for oppositional activities. “Statements of Belarusian oppositionists abroad often contain lies and misleading information aimed at passing decisions by the international organizations and governments of some states that would cause huge damage to our country not only in political, but in economical sphere as well,” Mikalay Charhinets said.
