The rating of Alexander Milinkevich is growing 11:09, 25/01/2006
Gallup Baltic Surveys announced the results of the latest opinion poll of Belarusians pointing at the steady growth of the recognition ratio and popularity of the single candidate of the united democratic forces Alexander Milinkevich.
Whereas in November 2005 59 percent of the population of Belarus were recognized the leader of the democratic forces, in January 2006 this proportion had exceeded 79 percent. Important is the fact that 56 percent of the interviewed who know who Milinkevich is intend to vote for him at the presidential elections.
A. Milinkevich’s popularity is growing most rapidly in large cities. For instance, in Minsk, Grodno, and Vitsebsk today up to 40 percent of the voters are ready to vote for him.
