On January 26 the editor-in-chief of the “Magazyn Polski” In Exile” Andrzej Poczobutt was summoned to the regional prosecutor’s office and asked to provide explanations. He was told that expert examination of information in two issues of the magazine “Magazyn Polski” In Exile” was held. But Mr Poczobutt refused to give explanations.
As the Radio Svaboda informs, in the prosecutor’s office Andrzej Poczobutt was asked whether he was the author of the articles in the “Magazyn Polski” In Exile”, and why the periodical does not have imprint? By the way, the only information in the magazine is that it is published with support of the committee “Solidarity with Belarus”, founded in Poland. The refusal to give explanations was recorded in a protocol, as the editor-in-chief said. As said by him, file about the magazine is very thick, and contains about 400 pages.
Representatives of tax police were present in the prosecutor’s office as well. they were interested whether Polish journalists had helped Poczobutt to pay a fine for his participation in an unsanctioned picket.
