Alyaksandr Milinkevich Meets With Yulia Tymoshenko :: Charter'97 :: News

On February 1 the Belarusian delegation of united democratic forces headed by Alyaksandr Milinkevich, had a meeting with, Yulia Tymoshenko, the former Prime Minister of Ukraine and leader of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, who stays in Brussels at the moment. It was informed by the United Civil Party press service.

During her address to the deputies of the European Parliament, Tymoshenko stated that political forces headed by her, are supporting and would continue to support the political opposition in Belarus.

During a separate meeting of the two delegations Yulia Tymoshenko stated the necessity to create a united democratic coalition of Belarus and Ukraine and to fight for democratic European values together.

Besides, meetings of the Belarusian delegation with the leader of Liberal faction of the European Parliament and the leadership of this faction have taken place. Alyaksandr Milinkevich also delivered a speech at the session of the European People’s Party - European Democrats (EPP-ED) Group, which is the largest faction in the European Parliament.
