Polish President: We Support Milinkevich 17:13, 01/03/2006
“We support Lukashenka’s contender at the presidential elections,” told Polish President Lech Kaczynski in an interview to Radio Polonia, speaking about Alyaksandr Milinkevich. As the Radio Svaboda informs, Lech Kaczynski is on an official visit to Ukraine.
“We have our own stance towards Lukashenka’s regime. We support his contender, whom I received in presidential palace in Warsaw. Taking in consideration that I am an official head of Poland, it was a very indicative step, because we want democracy to win in Belarus as well,” underlined Polish president, speaking about prospects of close cooperation between Warsaw and Kyiv on the issues of Polish-Russian and Polish-Belarusian relations.
As we have informed, Polish President Lech Kaczynski received Belarusian candidate for presidency Alyaksandr Milinkevich in Warsaw on January 25, 2006.
