Iryna Krasouskaya: “Each of Us Must Make Choice and Defend It” 21:18, 16/03/2006
“12 years have passed. And we are falling behind the civilized world for 12 years. It cannot go on like this any more. If we would continue to live in Lukashenka’s stagnation, our children and grandchildren wouldn’t forgive us. Each of us must make a choice and defend it, by coming to October Square in Minsk on March 19, at 8 p.m. On the square we are to see how numerous we are in reality. If we’ll be together, on March 20 we’ll find ourselves in a free and sunlit country,” told one of the members of the Day of Belarusian Solidarity, the leader of the civil initiative “We Remember” Iryna Krasouskaya.
As we have informed, the initiators of holding Days of Belarusian Solidarity addressed citizens of Belarus with a call to show their solidarity and cast a vote for a New president of the country on March 19, 2006. “We call upon all citizens of Belarus to show solidarity at polling stations, by casting a vote for a new president of the country. We also support the idea to meet the results of the vote together on October Square of the Belarusian capital, on March 19 at 8 p.m., as it is usual in all democratic countries,” said initiators of the Days of Solidarity at the site www.solidarity16.org.
