Alyaksandr Milinkevich Meets Leadership of Norway 12:45, 20/04/2006
On April 20 the leader of the democratic forces of Belarus Alyaksandr Milinkevich starts his two-day working visit to Oslo. The Belarusian politician is to hold meetings with the leadership of the country and to address a conference organized by Norwegian Helsinki Committee.
On Thursday Alyaksandr Milinkevich is to meet Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg and the Secretary of State Morten Wetland.
Besides, talks with the head of the Permanent Committee of Norwegian parliament on International Affairs Olav Akselsen are planned.
In the second part of the day Alyaksandr Milinkevich is to make a report at the conference organized by the Norwegian Helsinki Committee. The report is to touch upon the current situation in Belarus and possible scenarios of the future. Andrei Sannikov, an international coordinator of the Charter’97 press center, is to take part in the conference.
On April 21 a meeting of Alyaksandr Milinkevich and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre is to take place.
