Prosecutor Demands to Sentence Kazulin to 6 Years of Prison 11:44, 13/07/2006
In the court of Maskouski district of Minsk a public prosecutor S. Bortnik has demanded to sentence the former candidate for presidency Alyaksandr Kazulin to 6 years of imprisonment. It is most likely that the judgment would be delivered to Kazulin today.
As we have informed, the candidate for presidency Alayksandr Kazulin was put out of the court room yesterday. He was left without a final statement, and he would be present only at the judgment delivery.
The lawyer of Kazulin, Ihar Rynkevich, comments on the ruling of the judge: “It is an unprecedentedly harsh ruling, which I cannot remember from my practice. Persons were fined for violations in the court room, but I do not remember depriving a person of the final statement in the end of the examination during trial,” I. Rynkevich said.
