Alyaksandr Kazulin Returned to Remand Prison 12:01, 04/08/2006
On August 3 a former candidate for presidency Alyaksandr Kazulin was taken from a prison hospital to Minsk remand prison in Valadarski street. The political prisoner was hospitalised last week for a medical check-up. Representatives of the penal institution in Kalvaryjskaya Street refused to inform Kazulin’s wife about the results of this medical examination.
“I was told that all documents will be sent to Valadarski street,” Iryna Kazulina said to the press service of the United Civil Party. “And there we could talk to a doctor”.
Alyaksandr Kazulin’s eyesight dropped, and he asked to bring him glasses. On August 4 Iryna Kazulina plans to have an appointment with the doctor for a in a penal facility in Valadarski street. “I hope to find out what eye doctor has said,” she said.
On the same day Kazulin’s mother plans to meet with him. Yauhenia Kanstantsinauna was allowed to meet with her son last week. However, he was transferred to a hospital. Wednesday is the only day for meetings there. But the administration, referring to a sanitary day in prions, denied the meeting. “I hope that mother wouldn’t be told that permission for the meeting has expired,” Iryan Kazulina said.
Alyaksandr Kazulin has informed via his lawyer that he had sent two letters home. “But we haven’t received them,” Iryna Kazulina said.
