“Tavarysh” Left Without Publishing Facility Again 17:27, 07/08/2006
The “Tavarysh”, the newspaper of the Party of Communists of Belarus is left without a printing house, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Syarhei Vaznyak reported. As said by him, “an official notice of the limited liability partnership TMK, a Moscow firm which printed “Tavarysh” since March 15 this year, was received by the editorial office. It informed about cancellation of an agreement because of a planned moving to a new place TMK stops its activities for an unknown term.
At the same time, S. Vaznyak, who is the members of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, does not exclude that hands of Belarusian officials reached Moscow. “One should not forget that the Party of Communists of Belarus undergoes great pressure now, and its activists are pressurized. That is why, knowing about friendship between the authorities of Russian capital and the official Minsk, one can solve the guess that cancellation of the agreement for printing “Tavarysh” newspaper is another attempt to liquidate the “Tavarysh”.
The further printing of the left newspaper “Tavarysh” is questionable. As the deputy editor-in-chief on publishing activities Zmitser Yanenka noted, all Belarusian printing offices are afraid to conclude contracts with the newspaper. The main reason is that it is an oppositional newspaper.
