Nikolay Zboroshenko to be deported from Belarus in a few hours 14:51, 10/08/2006
An activists of Oborona movement (Russia) Nikolay Zboroshenko to be released from Minsk remand prison in Akrestsin Street at 5 p.m. In an hour, at 6.12 p.m. he is to leave for Moscow on a train number 26 Minsk-Moscow, the Charter’97 press center was informed by a young activist Krystsina Shatsikava.
As reported, on July 22 activists of this organization held a picket near the Russian Embassy in Belarus in the center of Minsk. They called upon Russia to stop supporting Lukashenka’s dictatorship. After drawing up reports on administrative violation, N. Zboroshenko and E. Vinokurova were given summons to the court. Then they were released and went to Russia. In a few days they independently returned to Minsk to stand the trial.
In Minsk prison Nikolay Zboroshenko announced a hunger strike of protest.
E. Vinokuriova was released from the remand prison and deported to Russian on August 5.
